Being pregnant can be a very scary thing to go through, since despite the prospect of having your very own child you would be worried about the potential that something or the other might end up going wrong. There was a time not all that long ago when people thought that pregnant women should just sit around do nothing all day long, but suffice it to say that this notion has been thoroughly disproven by modern science.

We now know that pregnant women should get some exercise at least every once in a while. The reason behind this is that they can’t be excessively overweight since this can cause complications during labor. That’s not to say that pregnant women should go and deadlift three hundred pounds, of course. If you are still in your first trimester, doing yoga is a lot more useful than just lying on your back. You should consult with a doctor throughout your yogic practice, but generally speaking there is nothing to worry about during your first two trimesters. It is only in your third trimester that you should attempt to rest and relax since you might injure your body by moving around.
